Got the hankering for a CX bike again…….

Haven’t been on the bike as much as I’d like in the last year butnot the sun is making a fleeting appearance and the mornings are bright I’ve got an itch to get out.
Only problem is the stitches in my foot mean I’m walking like a Vietnam vet and it’s going to be a few more weeks before I can ride at this rate. It’s making me realise I need to get out more. Best get the bikes sorted so I don’t make any more excuses.
On a lighter note only 194 days to SSWC Ireland 2011!

Due to house moves, a one year old in the house, a love of french cars that fall apart and a job that kills my social life I seem to spend more time in the garage fixing stuff than I do on the bikes these days. A few road rides and five or six mountain bike rides have been the height of it this summer. The most regular spin i get is half an hour with Luke on the child seat.
Buliding a nice CX bike in the hope it will inspire me to get out more

Back on the singlespeed, two great local rides this week, legs seem better than I though, pace is pretty good, hopefully by the time the novelty of being out again wears off the fitness will be back and I’ll not notice the sore muscles.
bikes are great
Not sure if the laziness or the business have kept me off the bike so foar this year, been on the road about 4 times and not off road at all, need to get my finger out and find some mojo again.
Had the most horrific snot producing, throat grating, energy sapping cold for 4 weeks now. Totally scuppered any plans to get the legs going again. The only productive thing I’ve been doing is sorting out all my spares to get them sold so i can pay back the national debt of an ex soviet state to the credit card company and fund a few frame building bits on the side so I can complete the gt and specialized frame chops that have been hanging around for 6 month.
How nice is this?

Project Lois returned to the fold after being on Maternity Leave at Mikes house, since the Lovehate arrived at his house the DMR was tossed aside and the missus decided it would be nice if it was “one of those bike with gears that looks like a singlespeed”.
What more of an excuse do I need, Afine bought, final bits ordered tonight all apart from brakes and tyres.
